Captain Steve Rogers, reporting for...question duty.

  • Question: What is the one thing you'd most like to change about the world? - chibicca-becky
  • Answer:

Well, ma’am, one thing that’s always disappointed me is our tendency to judge by appearance rather than personality or merit.  I’d like for us humans to grow more accepting of each other.  If that were different, anything’d be possible, if you ask me.

  • Question: Aww you're so cute :3 I am forever in love with Captain America. - chasing-sunday-deactivated20120
  • Answer:

Erm, that’s very gracious of you, ma’am.  I do sort of wish people would calm down about all this, though.  “Love” is a strong word..

  • Question: What are your goals for the future? - little-frenzy-deactivated201302
  • Answer:

For now?  Staying associated with S.H.I.E.L.D. - Director Fury has my trust.  Trying to stop the bombing, on top of returning the Tesseract to the aliens, shows he’s got the people’s interests in mind.

  • Question: Just wait. You haven't gotten to the best part of the internet yet. - ask-theguyinthesuit
  • Answer:

    Holding my breath with anticipation.

  • Question: You're my idol. You have no idea how much you inspire me to keep my faith and fight the good fight. Thanks Captain America. For being someone I could look up to. - acoustic-titan
  • Answer:

I-…wow.  Thank you for your kind words, but I’m no role model, son.  You don’t need role models.  Just trust in yourself and do good by the people around you.

The real heroes are the ones without superpowers.

  • Question: How are you doing, Steve? I didn't expect you'd let Tony rope you in so easily. - askthebetterhalfofstark
  • Answer:

Adjusting, as ever, Ma’am.  This is actually helping, believe it or not.  Certainly couldn’t have been Stark’s intention.

  • Question: How did you first react to seeing yourself post-Super Soldier serum? It must have been quite a shock. - darling-tsarevich
  • Answer:

Honestly, I couldn’t believe my eyes.  And neither could anyone else in the room.  For all the pain that the war brought me, I’ll always be grateful that I got this chance.  It’s a burden, but we all have burdens to bear.

  • Question: Ya know, Cap, Tony's probably yanking your chain with this whole askblog thing. How long do you think it'll be until you start getting anonymous questions that just happen to sound like Stark's signature mocking? I mean, it's not like it's necessarily a bad idea, but this just sounds like one of his little jokes. - ask-the-gamma-avenger
  • Answer:

“Sounds like,” Doctor?  I went into this with my eyes open about that.  But who knows, it might turn out for the best.  So far I’ve got nothing but good folk sending me questions.  Honestly, don’t know why Stark’s always joking about the internet being “horrifying.”

  • Question: You're just amazing, luv, keep up the good work. Don't ever think less of yourself! And keep those gentleman-ly manners. They're so rare nowadays. - little-frenzy-deactivated201302
  • Answer:

Oh, uhm, thank you kindly, ma’am.  Much obliged.

  • Question: So Tony really talked you into doing this, huh? - asktheotherspider
  • Answer:

Well, he also suggested something called “4chan,” but he had that look on his face when he said it.  You know, the “playing pranks on poor people is fun” look.
